Matanuska Glacier Retreat offers an option to Elope at the Matanuska Glacier Retreat, using our excellent facilities with some of your closest friends and family. 12 people total can join together in an Elopement at our overlook. You provide the people, we provide one of the best spots around.

Land on Matanuska Glacier for Photos and Elopement

Fly with Sheep Mountain Air out to the best Landing Zones on Matanuska Glacier.  We have several options and add-ons to go with our elopement packages, including photography and enough room for a third passenger of your choice (depending on weight).

We often land at blue pools on the glacier, but we also land on white ice, with great views of the surrounding mountains.

Our 2 hour helicopter elopement package on the Matanuska Glacier provides the picture perfect location for an intimate ceremony.

Exchange vows on the glacier surrounded by breathtaking beauty. Next, fly to a mountain top where you will take photos against the backdrop of Alaska’s rugged wilderness. This package makes for an unforgettable start to a life together in a truly unique and majestic setting.

Land in the Chugach Mountains for Photos or Elopement

Take the Helicopter from Matanuska Glacier Retreat to take photos after your wedding, or to elope deep in the mountains.  It only takes a few minutes to fly up into the mountains over Matanuska Glacier, and there you can elope, or take some of the greatest wedding photos possible.

This is one of the best ways to have an elopement.  Our pilot is trained to officiate the wedding, as well as perform photography.  The helicopter to can hold up to 3 passengers, so you can bring your own photographer or officiant as well.
